We're back!

What a wonderful week we had! It was so good to be back in Utah. The fresh air, amazing views and that feeling of home was enough to tempt us to move back.

I'm still recovering from the time change, so bear with me on the pics and details of the week. They are coming.

First, we have to deal with a little problem our computer has developed while we were away. I'll be on the internet, and all of a sudden windows will open, and full pages of ads (sometimes vulgar) will appear out of nowhere. It will then close the page I'm working on. It's enough to make me scream. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know. We have the virus protector and spyware, so we're at a loss. We'll listen to all suggestions.

For now though, my bed is calling my name. We returned to rainy, overcast skies, and my body is yearning for the sunny skies of Utah!

Happy Mother's Day!'

To all the wonderful mother's out there, have a wonderful day! I'm on a plane with the girls on our way to Park City, UT for the week. Mountain air, here we come.

Click here for your Mother's Day bouquet. The screen will be black, just click your mouse once, or click and drag across the page.

I'll leave you with a few fun pics from around the house. If I plan right, I'll be having too much fun to blog.

The girls fight over this car. Lise' has just learned to drive it. She'll run anything over, including Abri (which reminds me of an incident with a certain brother of mine and a four wheeler when I was younger.)

This is one of Abri's favorite positions.

See the smile? She's just stolen her sister's new sparkle shoes.

Earth Day at the Shore. It was cold that day, but we headed to the beach to see the marine life in the water.

The floor is completed

We can't walk on it yet, and the smell is giving us a nice buzz, but aren't they pretty? All that for 20 cents a square foot + refinishing.

B left this week for Baltimore, his first business trip since we moved to NJ. This is the girls telling him goodbye.

Abri has to do whatever you do.

Thank You!

You may have noticed that in the last few weeks, I haven't posted as much as I usually do. Part of that is because I'm involved in kid activities and getting out more now that the weather has improved, and the other half has been trying to jump start the Mary Kay business.

When I agreed to do this, I decided I would give it my all for one year without compromising the time I spend with the girls. That means at night, after they go to bed, I'm upstairs learning, organizing, and thankfully ordering.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially because I have very few contacts up here to help me get started, but that is where you all come in. Thank you to everyone who has ordered. It's no secret I am not a born salesman, and with every order I have received, my confidence has increased. Along with the orders, your kind words and support have helped me move forward. Who knows, maybe one day I will have the keys to the car-HA!

With that being said, if you find a Mary Kay catalog in your mailbox, take a few minutes and look through it. It really is more than makeup, and if you'd like to try anything, it's 100% satisfaction guarantee. Yes, that means if you can't decide if a color lipstick is right for you, try it. If you don't like it, we'll switch it to another color. No problem. Same goes for everything else. I have samples of almost everything, so just send me an email. I'll mail you one. I ship and gift wrap for free too, so what's stopping you?

Also, if you've tried MK in the past, and it wasn't for you for whatever reason, know that the formulas have changed in the past 5 years. They've introduced the new mineral powders, which I love, and they have a great skin care line that includes microderm abrasion.

Oh, and we just missed the deadline for Mother's Day, but there is a line of products for men. They come with rave reviews. I've ordered a few sets and plan to have B try them out for a firsthand review. All sets can be broken up.

I think that's all for my MK ad. I won't do it often, but if I have a special promotion going on, you'll be the first to know. What's a blog good for if you can't promote yourself?

Besides, Lise' is working hard to sell her makeup because I promised her that once we sell enough she can go see Big Mickey Mouse and ride in the teacups that go round and round and round. She's seen the WDW commercial one too many times!

Click here to help send Lise' to Big Mickey Mouse :-)

So, what have we been doing?

A little of this and a lot of that. Isn't that what you do everyday?
The little things, I'll describe below in pics. What has taken the most time is home improvement.

As we mentioned before, there's a house down the street that is scheduled to be torn down next week. B and Robbie, another guy from the plant, have worked several weekends. They've pulled the kitchen cabinets out and reclaimed enough wood floor to fill our den and kitchen.

Here's Abri watching all the action through my beautiful new front door.

This past week, B and Robbie put the floor in. This week, it will be refinished. YEAH! For those of you who know the usual progression of home improvements for us, this is a new record. We've only lived here 5 months. When the refinishing is done, we'll paint before the furniture goes in.

The only 'before' pic I can find at the moment.

Carpet is gone.

Floor going in.

Abri supervising through the window.

Abri was a big help all day. She carried that hammer around and banged on the floor.

The girls really enjoyed an empty room, especially b/c we let them ride their bikes.

Here's the cabinets, patiently waiting for installation.

Also, this week, we purchased a DISHWASHER. My hands are singing a tune, can you hear it? Unfortunately, it's still 7 feet from the sink, but it's progress. Lucky for me, the kitchen cabinets are taking up valuable space in the basement, so they're next on the list.

For now, I'll have to deal with the fact the tiles are missing on the counter top and the side of the cabinet had to be destroyed to get the old dishwasher out. No big deal. I've lived in construction before, I can do it again.

All the above cabinets, flooring, stove, and dishwasher were found on Craig's List. Told you I'm a junkie. On Wed, I'll pick up a new picnic table for the girls and a tricycle for Abri.
