We're watching with anticipation

To all our family & friends down there in Louisiana (and Mobile/Daphne), our hearts are with you. It's almost harder being up here out of danger glued to the television knowing you can't do anything to help. I know B would give his right arm to be there assisting our parents with the boarding up of the house and pulling in normal objects out the yard to prevent them from becoming projectiles.

Know that we're here. We'll be here watching and waiting to hear that everyone is out of danger. In the meantime, we'll be praying for you.

Three Cheers for the Mama

I apologize profusely for my absence, but I do have a few excuses. Our lives were turned upside down a little in the last month.

It all started with a plan. The ORIGINAL plan was for Mr. Ed & Ms. Becky to come for a long anticipated visit. During their visit, I was to fly to Dallas for a MK convention. When I returned, the girls and I were going to ride back with them to Louisiana with a quick visit to North Carolina.

What ended up happening was Granny passed away, we drove to Louisiana, to Houston, to Dallas, and back to Louisiana for a few weeks, and then I drove ALONE with the girls to NJ. So, there's my excuses. I dare you to give me grief.

Oh, and did I mention that we got back to our house on Friday, and on Saturday, we got in the car again to drive 3 hrs north to Connecticut for a wedding and back again? Crazy, I know.

It's all a blur, and I dare you to ask me why I haven't posted!

A little trivia for you...Total milage 3895 miles. Of course, that's a little estimated b/c it doesn't include the trips made to and from Baton Rouge and Gonzales and Hammond. From my house to Los Angeles, CA is 2790 miles.

So, be patient, I'm trying to get my life in order b/c as a few of you know, we're going to hit the road again in 2 weeks for our vacation in Orange Beach, AL. And, yes, we're driving. I'll post pics soon. Feel free to send happy thoughts my way.
